The label checks not only the forest itself, but the entire chain: from tree to paper mill to printing house. That way you know for certain that the paper in your book does what the logo promises.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Why choose FSC paper?<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Responsible forest management and the protection of biodiversity.<\/li>\n<li>A stronger, more sustainable image for your brand or publication.<\/li>\n<li>Increasingly a requirement in tenders and corporate assignments.<\/li>\n<li>Barely any extra cost compared with regular paper.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">For publishers and companies that last point is often decisive: you can make a sustainable choice without your print run becoming noticeably more expensive. The quality is identical to regular paper, so you give up nothing in sharpness, colour or feel.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">FSC, PEFC and recycled paper: what is the difference?<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">FSC is not the only label. PEFC works with comparable requirements and is widely used in Europe; for most clients the two are interchangeable. Recycled paper is something else: it says nothing about the forest, but about the raw material, namely waste paper instead of fresh fibres. It often looks slightly greyer and rougher, which can suit a sober design but is less suitable for photographic work.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">If you want the maximum, there is also FSC-certified paper containing a share of recycled fibres. That combines a controlled chain with the reuse of raw materials. Usually the logo appears in the colophon or on the back of the cover, small and quietly designed. Rules apply to its use: the logo may only appear on publications actually printed on certified paper, and it must be shown legibly and undistorted. We supply the correct logo file as soon as your choice is final.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">FSC paper and sustainable printing more broadly<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">FSC paper is an important step, but sustainable printing goes further. Think about your print run as well: with print on demand you only print what you need, without a surplus that is thrown away later.
